It's always hard for me to start these blogs. There is so much I want to say, but my mind spins and I just don't know what all to put down. However, this one came pretty easy. When I was growing up, there was this kid who rode our bus. He was hilariously funny, talked a lot, and made our long bus ride go really quickly. Fast forward to 2018 and I'm photographing his wedding in my hometown!
Speaking of my hometown, I actually make the drive to Thief River Falls, MN quite often from the Fargo-Moorhead area. Every single time, there are a few specific locations that consistently catch my eye. As a portrait photographer, I'm always eyeing up new photo session locations and hoping to book a small town family at some of these spots. This location has been at the top of my radar for easily 7 years. When Taylor contacted me for maternity photos, and mentioned she wanted to meet halfway, I was so excited to finally photograph a family at The Gary Pines!
We explored a little bit, but with a lot of fresh snow and a toddler along, we stuck close to the main pathways.
We had to get her son, Andel, in on the action as well! Aren't toddlers walking through the snow the cutest! He was so focused!
Right at the end of the session, we saw an amazing playground! Next time I drive by (and there isn't snow on the ground) I'm definitely going to stop with my kids.
